Clearing DropBox Cache in OSX
DropBox is an incredibly powerful file sharing system, that lets you synchronize files across multiple machines, accessible through web or from your workstation via their desktop application.
Deleted files can easily be restored because they are cached locally, because they are stored in the hidden folders /Users/username/.dropbox and ~/.dropbox/cache. However, these directories can grow incredibly larger (22 gig in my case!!), luckily I came across a slick OSX app called DBCC that can purge this cache.
